CORNET in 2020 – a promising recap
2020 is considered as a challenging and exceptional year for all of us. Our network had and still must deal with the consequences of this ongoing and unpredictable pandemic – nevertheless we should neither forget nor neglect the positive things which occurred in 2020 as well. CORNET can record many achievements and all in all a successful year as a network.
The CORNET-Calls-For-Proposals – highly successful in 2020
First things first: the 29th and the 30th Call for Proposals in this year have been very remarkable. In total we received 59 proposals. In comparison to the last years, the number of proposals is above average. This reflects our ongoing growth of the network and the high international interest in CORNET – in total eleven different countries/regions participated. In addition to that, also eleven proposals from the 29th call are already supported by CORNET – more proposals are following in near future!
Numerous events – online, but still efficient
CORNET Events are important for the network and for the members – a network can only survive through interactions. This is the reason why it is self-evident that we organized the events considering the circumstances of the ongoing pandemic. The solution: Online Events! We had two Council-Meetings and one partnering event with the possibility to network afterwards online. 2020 is going to be over soon – what is coming in 2021?
If you are interested in submitting proposals, 2021 offers many possibilities for this as well. Save the following dates!
- 31th Call: 11 January 2021 to 31 March 2021
- 32th Call: Mid of 2021 to 29 September 2021
With this in mind, we want to say thank you to all of you, who are contributing to the uniqueness of our network and working very hard every day to accomplish success in research.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
